Authorities report that a 71-year-old man and his elderly roommate were robbed and beaten at gunpoint on Thursday. The violent thieves followed the 71-year-old victim as he was walking home and pulled a gun on him forcing him into the home, according to CBS affiliate WJZ-TV.
The three assailants poured bleach on the man and demanded money and valuables as they beat him.
Meanwhile, the 60-year-old roommate tried to defend himself with a golf club, but the men were armed with guns and quickly took the club away.

Cameras along the 4200 block of Palmetto Street captured four men walking up and down the block around 7 p.m. last Friday night. One of them is then seen shoveling the steps, before trying to open the door.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a group of robbers used last week's snow as a cover to case a Juniata Park home before breaking in and attacking two men.
When a 62-year-old man came to the door three other robbers rushed in carrying shotguns and handguns.
Two of the assailants forced him into the basement while hitting him with the shotgun.
The other two then attacked a 54-year-old man upstairs.
Both victims said they were told to hand over their money in Spanish.
The group left after getting cash.

An armed bystander shot a robber and murderer dead in the parking lot of a Scottsdale, Arizona, convenience store early Friday morning.
You can read the full story, but in a nutshell, here is what happened:
Robert Blackwater entered a Circle K store and shot at the clerk as part of his efforts to rob the store. The clerk managed to run unharmed out of the store, but when an unarmed customer walked in during the robbery, outside, Blackwater shot him dead.
Blackwater then reportedly ran out of the store and shot at a bystander in the parking the lot.
That person was armed and shot Blackwater dead.
What Did We Learn Here?
Rather then having two people killed and a murdering robber on the lose, we have an armed citizen ending the crime spree of Blackwater (he was suspected of committing other armed robberies), stopping a murdered from killing again, and instrumental in helping capture the killer's partner.
Not a bad day for for a private citizen who was just minding his own business.
And if you notice, I DID NOT mention the color of Blackburn's skin. Didn't matter. He was a killer, and skin color does not determine a persons morals.
